When was the last time you asked your team leader if they need help?
We expect a lot from leadership. We look to them for direction. We want them to remove obstacles. To be confident during a storm. To be strong, but also vulnerable. To communicate clearly, but also listen. The list goes on.
True, many leaders are privileged, some more than others. But they are human, too. Many I talk to feel lonely, misunderstood, stressed out.
Help your leader once in a while. Make their life easier. Bring a smile to their face. In doing that, you’re being a leader, too.
